I'm looking for a step-by-step explanation of how to change out an alternator on a 2001 Honda Accord EX 6 cyl. Also would like to know if I need specific tools to do so.

1. Remove the neg battery cable
2. On te alt., there will be two bolts...one is a pivot bolt and the other is an adjustment bolt. Loosen the adjustment bolt until you can romove the belt from the pully.
3. Once you get the belt off, remove both bolts and pull out alternator...KEEP IN MIND tat it is still pluged in, so remove the wiring harness and ground wire before or after(it doesn't matter)
4.Reverse the steps to install
5.Use the adjusting bolt to tighten the belt
6.Put on the battery cable LAST
