My honda quit on my wife yesterday. The car starts fine, but won't stay running. With my foot on the pedal the car sounds fine. Ran it at 2000 rpm, 3000 rpm, car was warm. ( l live in southern california) Has adequate fluid levels. Managed to run the car in neutral and even in neutral it quit once I took my foot off the gas. The tachometer doesn't even hesitate. It just drops to zero and the car dies. What am I missing?

if there is no check engine light, pay attention to when the car stalls. if the dash goes dark it is probably your ignition switch. eiter you should replace it or clean it. I say replace it, take it to a honda dealer and they may replace it for free.
