I use my car for delivery runs. One minute my taillights work, the next they don't. All connections are seated properly. I was told it may be the switch itself in the car, but there's one other issue. I do have one fuse that is blown. The small light/ license plate light fuse blows now everytime I replace it and turn the lights on. Is it possible that there is a short or other issue with the switch that is causing this to happen, any other suggestions?

Hello,

Is your front parking lights working?
Is they are working then it probably is not a switch issue.

When you mentioned rear taillights, is just the taillight part, does the brake light work.
If your brakes lights stopped working all of a sudden then you might have a faulty brake light switch.
The brake light switch is located under the brake pedal.
When you depress the brake pedal, it pushed the brake light switch and all the lights come on. That switch can go bad overtime with use, the contact inside the switch gets worn and stops working.
