I have owned this car since it had 35000 miles on it and I know the previous owner, and neither he nor I have ever abused/raced this car, and it has never been driven on anything but paved roads. Would it be normal for the motor mounts to be broken? If so, is 4 hours labor normal for their replacement?

motor mounts are made up of rubber and steel.... every time the car accelerates, or brakes, it puts stress on the mounts.... very common to wear out... however, which mount is bad??? there are a total of 4.... if someone says they are all bad, its most likely bs... but if 1, or 2 are bad, which ones???

Labor Skill Level Mfg. Warranty Standard
Engine Mount
Replace
All Mounts B 4.0 6.6
Front Mount B 0.5 0.8
Rear Mount B 1.7 2.5
Side Mount B 0.5 0.8
Trans Mount B 0.5 0.6
the time they mean is calculated in hrs... id say your being taken if they charge 4 hrs.... but then again, i havnt looked at your car to verify which mounts are bad... hope this helps...
