As a car novice I'm having issues with my Accord Ex from 2000, and this has started happening recently. When I accelerate the car hesitates between 2-3000 rpm with a slight shudder. Pickup is also very minimal, I will admit I did my last oil change past the due date (almost 1500 miles over) would this be causing the hesitation in my engine? I am taking this car to the repair shop soon but would like to have an idea of what Im dealing with before I get an estimate. Thanks

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging, misfiring etc. Could be caused by one of the following below:

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it.
