So I have recently purchased a fairly nice Garmin GPS and according to it my speedometer is consistently 4 mph off at speeds over 50. It is 2 mph off at speed below 50 mph. I also have been feeling like I am driving slower than what my speedometer is telling me for the my last few road trips even before I bought the GPS. I am wondering if it is something that is a major job or something fairly basic and inexpensive?

Speedometers are never 100% accurate. The difference between the speeds (atleast to me) seems very minimal and normal.

If you have different size tires/wheels or low/high tire pressures, this is why there is a difference.
