hi, my dad is replacing the driver side electric wing mirror, after it was completely knocked off by a truck. However the fuse keeps blowing while he is trying to test out the mirrors. What could be the problem? Where can he find the correct wiring diagram for fitting this mirror?

Hi magsana,

When the mirror was knocked off, it could have caused damage to the wire harness when it was pulled and thsi could result in the shorting.

Disconnect the mirror harness and see if the shorting occurs. If any repairs were carried out on damages to the doors or body apart from the mirror, check if any wires are clamped by body panels.

Check the mirror harness connector pins for damage, sometimes they get bent and this would cause shorting.
