The dashboard light is out on my car. is this a fuse that needs to be replaces or is it a bulb that has burned out?

Hi freeway65,
Check if the taillights lights are working. If yes, most probably the bulbs in the meter cluster or it wiring is at fault.
If no, problem is a bad tailight relay, blown fuse or a bad switch.
