Couple of months back my A/C stopped working, I took it to a local mechanic and he told me that it’s because of the blown fuses and he got it replaced, after couple of days back it stopped working, he replaced the blown fuse one more time.

He is unable to diagnose the issue; he told me that it might be due to the cigarette lighter as I am using it to charge my GPS.

One more thing that I noticed is that my charger is working, still the A/C stopped so if the problem is with the lighter as per my mechanic, then how come the charger is working fine.

Today again the A/C stopped working, I am really not interested in changing the blown fuses

Please let me know if you have any idea about the issue.

Also let me know, where can I find the fuse in my car.

Hi muthukumaran,

For fuses to keep blowing, something must be shorting so you need to check it out.

You have not given us enough info to proceed.

1. Which fuse are you refering to?
2. What is not working? Just the AC or the blower?

Hello, Thanks for responding.

1. It's the condenser fan fuse that keeps blowing
2. When ever the fuse blows, when I switch on the A/C it only blows the normal air not the cold air.
3. Yesterday i reaplced the fuse in the morning before going to the office and A/C was working, but when i took the car for lunch it's blown again.

You need to check the condenser fan motor and compressor clutch coil for shorting.
