I notice a slight jerk in the transmission while driving in the city under 40 mph. If I drive regularly, I notice it. If the car has not been driven for while, then I do not notice this problem. My local mechanic tells me that my car needs rebult transmisison. What sort of warranty I should get i.E for 90 days or 1 year? What's the average price for rebulit transmission (including parts & labor). Is Honda Dealership teh best place to go? This is a student's car and your advice is greatly apprecitaed.

The best place to go is a transmission shop. They will have the best prices.

On average a rebuild will cost you around $2000 in parts/labour.

I'd look for a one year warranty.
