When I push pedle down and reach 20 to 30 mph the car jerks pretty hard when slowing sown at about 20 mph and a little lower it also jerks is this the result of a sensor in the transmission, that has burned out or maybe worn out?

Hi mark north,

Symptoms indicates excessive shock 1-2 Or 2-1 Shift

Possible causes are :

"Â Shift Control Solenoid Valve "C" Defective
"Â 2nd Clutch Pressure Switch Defective
"Â Foreign Material In Separator Plate Orifice
"Â Shift Valve "C" Defective
"Â 1st Accumulator Defective
"Â 2nd Accumulator Defective
"Â 1st Check Ball Stuck
"Â 2nd Check Ball Stuck
"Â 1st Clutch Defective
"Â 2nd Clutch Defective

Testing would have to be performed and for some of the items listed, the trans has to be disassembled to check/repair/replace.
