Stalls at idle

I went to start my car this morning and it started up fine but cut right off so I tried to start it again and it did the same thing I changed the battery and the spark plugs and wires but the car still does the same thing. Can any one help me please.I have a 1998 honda accord ex 4cyl vtec

Yes after the car stalls the dash lights come on

Hi project_tj,

So we can rule out the ignition switch.

Are you able to keep the engine running with a little pressure on the acelerator? If yes, it is an idling problem and the cause should be the IAC that could be stuck in the closed position.

Remove the air intake hose from throttle body and spray some carb cleaner into the lower air passages in the throttle body and wait a few minutes before starting. Too much carb cleaner in the throttle body would result in difficult starting.

Try the above and let me know the result, ie if you are able to keep the engine running with some throttle opening.
