1998 Honda Accord 4 cyl 90,000 miles

Hey,
Sometimes when I turn I hear a grinding sound, and also my check engine light was on and I changed the oil then a day later it came back on. Not far ago my car used to jerk while I place in to drive and reverse and woulkdnt accelerate so I got a new transmission. Now that I have a new one, the car doesnt seem to switch gears as well and smooth as before. HELP ME

The grinding noise is most likely a wheel bearing

Your engine light is on because you have a fault somewhere in your fuel management system. Have a technician scan and diagnose it. It could be a quick fix!

For the transmission issue, have the mechanic who put the transmission in, take a look at the engine and trans. Mounts. They may be worn out.

The first diagram is the knuckle assy and the 2nd diagram is an exploded view of the knuckle showing where the wheel bearing is located inside the knuckle for the front wheels.
