My driver window went out. Bought a new Motor and regulator for it. When I installed it, it only goes down about half way, then I have to hold the button to get it to go the rest of the way. Then when going up I have to help it. I instlalled the regulator in the same place as the old one. It does not appear to be binding. This is my second one from I purchased from this company. They both are doing the samething. Also the Up and Down wires are back wards. When I push button for down it wants to go up and vice versa. Besides the wires being incorrect could the Powerwindow controller be going bad?

Thanks, Brian

Hi briank,

Seems the door glass runchannels are hardened or dry resultng in excessive friction causing the motor to be weak. Likewise the quality of the motor is suspect.

Try lubricating the runchannels with silcone or wax based lubricants. NEVER use oil based lubricants, they would cause the glass to stick to the rubber.

You would need to reinstall the wires to get them in the correct direction.
