I am a female & My husband is overseas & I feel like I am being taken advantage of please help!

I have a 1997 honda accord lx 4 door. My air will blow cold for about 10 minutes & then it stops and blows warm air. The next day it will start out cold & do the same thing. Once it blows hot it won't blow cold agin until it sits for about 5 hrs. Took it to the shop they checked for leaks made sure compressor was working properly. everything checked out so they say. no leaks, freon good, compressor working, fan working properly. Hoses new does this have anything to do with the dryer box or evaporator? What could be wrong?

Sounds liek you may have an expansion valve that is sticking.I have seen a few of them go bad in Hondas, and it wiill cause the a/c to do some strange stuff. The labor guide only pays 1.1 hours to change it, and the part is around $70.00.

I it mounted in the HVAC box under the dash on the right side. They will have to evacuate the a/c system and remove the blower box and a/c box to replace it.Sounds like alot but it isnt. The part is called an Expansion Valve
