My car has a bad skip and runs really rough now for a few seconds in the mornings when I crank it up. This only lasts for a few seconds, but recently it has been doing this for close to 10 seconds before it clears up and runs smooth again. It only does this in the mornings when the car has been sitting for a while. I'm thinking the plug wires are bad or something but not sure. I would like your professional opinion before I go out spending a bunch of money on parts that I may not need.

Hi mpboles1723,

That is not skipping that you described but rather hunting whereby the rpm goes up and down.
Should be nothing to do with the spark plugs, it is the idling system.
Possible causes.

1. Throttle body and EACV air passages clogged.
2. Coolant hoses to EACV and throttle body clogged.
3. Lack of radiator coolant.
4. Idle adjust screw set too high.
