Occasionally the car will not start completely. I turn the key and it starts. Within 1 second or less the engine stops. If I give it gas while turning the ignition it will start and continue running. Once running it is fine. This happens while the engine is warm and cold, but not all the time.

What do you think is the problem and what do you suggest?

It doesn't have a choke-what takes the place of a choke is the coolan temperature sensor. Might also look for a cold start injector.
