I purchased the car from a private party last year. It didn't come to my attention that the individual pulled the bulb from behind the instrument panel for the check engine light until I had to smog the vehicle. So we ran a diagnostic and came up with 3 transmission related codes. P1753 Solenoid lockup A, P1758 Solenoid lockup B, and P0748 TCC CKT Malfunction. My question is...what does all this mean and is it expensive or even worthwhile to repair? The car is still pretty clean inside and out and is my transportation to work and home to the baby. I am a single woman and scared I will be taken advantage of so I need a little inside information first.

Hi kstar222,

P1753 = Lock up solenoid Valve A
P1758 = Lock up solenoid Valve B.

A wiring fault is more likely to be the cause. Unable to find data for the P0748.

The above problems are not serious and the vehicle would still run.
