Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1995 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I recently replace my right side(passenger) accord axle and since have heard a whirring sound coming from the trans area. I noticed that the c-ring was a little looser than the other sides. Could that c-ring cause the whirring, because it seems to get louder the faster I go, and the noise disappears when I turn the car to the right, even slightly??? This sound wasnt there before I replaced the axle... PLEASE HELP... !!!

Hi bsoldier2007,

What C-ring do you mean?

There are 3 possibilities that I can think of regarding the noise.

1. The CV joint nut has not been torqued properly, (loose)
2. The bearing is faulty.
3. The backing plate is now touching the rotor at lower ball joint.
