I noticed recently my honda was running hot the temp gage was in the red and oil light flashing. I took it in had the oil changed and coolant filled up. It seemed to be doing better then went into the red again. I was planning on have the radiator flushed the next day. Too late I guess. I started my car and heard a terrible knocking noise. I immediatly shut it off and popped the hood. There was a small amount of smoke coming from the read drivers side of the engine I couldn't see exactly where it was coming from it was pretty low and it stopped pretty quick. I look down and noticed all of the coolant draining out from under my car. I called my mechanic he said dump it probably fried the engine he's give me 200 for it??? I really can't afford to buy a new car but I'm not sure if it's worth saving... I'm a 25 f and feel like I'm taken advantage of when I need work done. Is there anyway for me to tell if the car is done for?
