HI,
MY NAME IS KASH. I JUST BOUGHT A 1994 HONDA ACCORD AND ITS RUN GREAT BUT I HAVE A PROBLEM THAT AFTER DRIVING FOR LIKE TEN MINUTES THE ENGINE SIGN COME ON & STAYS UNTIL I TURN OFF THE CAR. ONCE I TURN THE CAR OFF THE ENGINE SIGN IS GONE. SO, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. ALSO, AS SOON I START TO DRIVE THE CAR THE ABS SIGN COMES ON TOO. SO, WOULD YOU KIND ENOUGH TO TELL ME ABOUT THIS SITUATION. THANK YOU KINDLY.

Hi Kash,

When the check engine light comes on, it means either one or more of the engine management system sensor is sensing some malfunction or the sensor itself is faulty.

Based on what you describe, I would say you have an O2 sensor problem but you need to extract the error code from the ECU memory to know what is really the cause.

If the ABS light comes on only after the vehicle has moved, probably 1 of the wheel sensor or its circuit is is giving problem. Likewise you need to extract the error code from the ABS control unit to be able to proceed with rectification.
