1994 Honda Accord Cruise control

I have 1994 Honda accord ex. Cruise control does not work. POwer button is on left lower dash, light works. Cruise control set is on steering column, will not hold? Actuator or motor?

Hi hyoski42,

Quite often it is due to an out of adjustment brake switch. Brake switch is equipped with 2 different circuits.

ON when pedal is depressed for brake lights and OFF the cruise control circuit.

Releasing the brake pedal would cause the brake circuit to be OFF and turns on the cruise control circuit. Test would have to be carried out and the simplest way to test if it is an adjustment fault, insert a piece of card board between the brake switch and pedal stopper and test the cruise control function.
