1994 Honda Accord Bent Valve

Hi I was doing a timing bent on my 94 Accord and thought I had the timing correct but didnt. I bent the # 3 cylinder valve and was wondering if I need a complete head job or can I just replace that valve. I have heard that I can do either or from friends but wanted a machanics opinion. I am also tight on $. Thanks.

Hi there,

You can do the one valve no problems, but what you should have done, is a pressure test which will check the condition of all the other valves. Then you can repair any other suspect valves.

Yes I agree compression test. I have had the same problem with my 3.3 and only bent one valve but wanted to be absolutely pos. On the others.
