1993 Honda Accord, Automatic, 115,000 miles; My car has recently started overheating. When I drive home from work (about 5 minutes) and open the hood, a little smoke is coming from the engine. I bought a new thermostat but I can't find out where the old one is to replace it. Can someone please tell the where is is located? Thanks.

Follow the hoses from the radiator. The bottom hose should join one of the heater hoses at the housing for the thermostat.

Now, you mention smoke or steam. Sometimes an overheating problem is caused by a leak. The leak could be the radiator. Find the source of the steam.
