The interior fan is working properly on all speeds when sending air to floor and front vents, but when either the defrost or defrost/floor buttons are selected the air sounds like it is simply trapped within the control box under the dash. Is this something I can adjust to get air diverted to defrost the windshield? I have a Haynes Manual but it does not relate to this type of adjustment. Thanks. Bob H.

By the way, I had to replace the distributor recently. Over 45 years of driving and this is the first one ever.

Sounds like something may be jaming the door for the defrost. Try removing the glove box and see if you can see the arms for the vents, move it to defrost to locate the door you need to fix
