1993 Honda Accord Car Flooded
Interior problem
1993 Honda Accord 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles
My car was flooded by a huge storm. There is six inches of water in the interior and their is debris covering my engine so it was obviously flooded as well. The car won't start and the engine light, oil light and battery light all came on. What can I do? Is it worth fixing?

Hi JCam347,
When flooded to such depth, it is better to scrap the vehicle.
The engine and transmission control units and some other electrical components have been damaged due to water entry.
The wire harness and interior has to be cleaned and dried out.
The brakes calipers would have to be serviced to prevent them from seizing in the near future.
Cables for trunk, fuel lid and hand brakes would be soaked and over time, they are going to seize as there is no way of cleaning them.
The engine and transmission has to be flushed if water had gained entry.
All these are not going to be cheap.
