I HAVE A 92 HONDA ACCORD THAT WHEN I CRANK THE CAR IT SPUTTERS AND EVERY TIME I TAKE OFF IT DOES NOPT WANT TO GO. IT TAKES ABOUT 15-20 SECS TO TAKE OFF. IT IS NOT THE TRANSMISSION DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT MIGHT BE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DOES COME ON ABOUT 30 MINS INTO THE RIDE.

Hi JCARTER763,

There is a fault in the system and you need to retrieve the error code for a start.Bridge the wire as shown, turn ignition switch on and count the number of flashes, long for 10 and short for 1.

Sputtering could be due to spark plugs or cables.
