I'd been having problems back in the summer with my Honda and I just stopped driving it then. It still runs, but it runs rough. What I mean is...the engine shakes or something under the hood is shaking and causing a decrease in acceleration. It also smokes a lot out of the muffler for the first few minutes it's on. My friend said that it might be a spark plug as part of the problem...? If anyone could help by suggestion, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi zmath0,

It should be a cylinder that is not firing correctly and could be due to a bad spark plug or plug wires.

The smoke emission would be due to worn valve seals and engine oil is getting past them into the cylinders to be durnt.
