We have a 1991 Honda and just recently it started idling rough while in park and as soon as you put it in gear, it dies. Any suggestions on what it might be would be appreciated.

Hi linsueplan,

The rough idling indicates either the idling speed is too low or the engine is misfiring.

If the idling apeed is low, get the throttle body and Idle air control valved cleaded and readjust the idling speed.

If it is misfiring, you would need to check the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotors or other possible mechanical faults.
