Heater problem
1991 Honda Accord 4 cyl Manual 197000 miles

The car doesnt blow any air either on ac or heater. But sometimes it turns on on itself. Today, I went hit a bump and the fan started blowing air.
I dont think the blower is gone coz it turns on.
thank you

Hi dilipghimire,

The blower motor is not gone yet but it is going. The carbon brushes are almost worn and if you give the bloer housing some vibrations, the blower would work, for now, till the carbon brushes are fully worn and how much banging or vibration is not going to help.

Time to get the blower motor replaced.

Pull out your fan Motor and ensure the wiring are properly fitted, the same thing was happening with my accords radio, until I pulled it out.

I dont have any diagrams, all I can say is try to open it up, it was pretty difficult to open up my radio, just remember to put things back just like you took them out, and 2CarPros employees might have diagrams, sorry.

The above is not for 92 Accord but is similar. Some parts might differ slightly or not used.
