Hello,
Thanks in advance for your help!
My trusty Accord has been acting up lately:
It stalls when the gas is below 1/2 tank and I brake hard. Starts up fine, runs smooth on the road. Does not stall when braking smoothly. But at a hard stop, it sometimes drops the idle for a little while and if I'm quick to release the brake pedal for a second, the idle smooths out.
I have cleaned the throttle body and cleaned the screen of the IAC.
The IAC is a 2-wire unit. I unplugged the unit while running to test it and the idle fluctuated wildly but smoothed out when I plugged it back in. So, I feel that the IAC is running ok, but who knows!

Much appreciated!

Hi junbesi123,

Thank you for the donation.

If the problem does not occur at a higher level of fuel in the tank, then the problem could possibly originate from the fuel tank or pump.

There is a possibility the fuel pump baffle bowl or plate is missing/detached and the braking sloshes the fuel forward resulting in fuel starvation to the fuel pump. Remove the fuel pump and check the filter and its connection for leaks as well.
