I have a 91 honda accord ex with 277k miles. I changed the water pump, cam seal, crank seal, both balancer seals, timing belt, balancer timing belt. both tensioners and springs. I followed intructions per internet and my 2 service manuals. After all of this I notice that when I accelerate that I hear a slight spark knock or maybe like a valve rattle (don't hear it at idle) and just maybe a little less power on acceleration. I readjusted my timing (15 btdc with connector shorted) I also checked and rebleed my cooling system to make sure that there wasn't any air. Before I put everything back together after doing the belts, I let the car run with the covers off (the radiator was empty) just to make sure it would fire up and I didn't hear any noises.
