1991 Honda Accord

When I turn the ignition key, I can tell that it's trying to crank but it wont. Sometimes it will crank, but after trying so many times. Why is this?

What model accord? I would reccommend the next time it decides to crank go to the auto parts store and have a battery and load test done on the battery and alternator to start because hey. Its free. But to speculate on other possiblilties it could just be a worn out starter and its not as efficent as it used to be but first make sure its getting the amperage it needs to work right IE. Fresh battery + good alternator. Good luck :)
