1990 Honda Accord

I have a 1990 honda accord, it is an atomatic but it also has a sport shift button that stays on all the time. So therefore it wont let me drive in forth gear I have to drive like it is in sports mode. I push the button and it doesn't come out of it. I have to shift gears to 1.2.3.4 and then it is drives fine. But I don't want to have to do that. And if it is a computer problem how much is it?

Try pulling the code/s from the automatic transmission control unit by shorting out the service check connector at the lower right of the glove compartment and reading the fault code/s.
