I was driving and it sounded like the engine was skipping or stalling. When the engine idled, it would stall and come close to dying, but when stopped, I put it in neutral and revved the engine and kept the car running, but when I reached a stop sign, it completely quit on me. I checked for corrosion on the battery and spark plug terminals. I removed the corrosion from the battery cable, and replaced the spark plugs. There was no visible damage or moisture in the distributor cap, but an associate from a parts store informed me that around 200k the distributor tends to go out. Other than the distributor, are there any other recommendations for things to check?
