my electrical door locks make a loud noise whenever I unlock the car, and when I start the car. I have had the driver side door repaired when the light wouldn't go out showing the door was open. The repair shop told me to basically ignore the noise.

Now my engine is stalling a lot. When I stop at a light it happens. Today the D4 light was blinking. I have just had the car serviced for $700.00

Hope you can help.

Hi deemac,

Are you sure you got the year of the car correct? 1984 there are no TCM installed so D4 should not be blinking.

Get the main relay checked/repaired/replaced and the intermittent stalling should be solved.

The door actuator motor is running bad thus the racheting noise when it operates.
