2000 GMC YUKON XL WITH 104,000 MILES: PROBLEM IS THE CLICKING SOUND WHEN YOU PUT YOU BLINKER ON. THE TURN SIGNALS WORK JUST FINE. THE SOUND DOESN'T SHUT OFF. BLINKERS AND FLASHERS WORK FINE JUST THE SOUND WON'T STOP. WHERE IS THE RELAY SWITH FOR THIS OR WHAT IS CAUSING THIS? THIS IS VERY ANNOYING.

This is a very intresting prob. Are you shure that the ticking is asociated with turn signal opperation? Or could this be somthing else ticking? I do know that this veh. Has a body control module and if you have a scan tool that can look at BCM codes and data. You might be able to get some more info on what could be causing this. BCM monitors turn sig. Opperation and all lighting input signals and output signals. And will record any falts. If you can't find someone with a good scan tool. You may be fighting this problem for awhile. But it's not impossible. Try to find exterior lights schematics and read them to better understand how they work. If you know how they work you can better understand how to fix them.

Yes I'm sure it's the turn signal/flasher. There has got to be a flasher relay switch which I cannot locate. This vehicle has backup relays to backup relays. Next time you drive turn on your flashers or turn signal and listen to the sound that is the exact sound this is making. So I'm gathering in other words you have no idea what I'm talking about. GM made backup relays to most electrical parts. I have 3 different fuse boxes in this truck. Just trying to pinpoint where this relay would be.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH I FOUND OUT WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR FROM ANOTHER SITE. TO LET YOU KNOW SHOULD SOMEONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM IT IS THE FLASHER UNIT LOCATED UNDER DASH ON THE DRIVER SIDE, ABOVE KICK PANEL, MOUNTED IN CONVENIENCE CENTER. THERE IS A CURRENT LEAK JUST ENOUGH FOR THE NOISE BUT NOT ENOUGH TO TURN THE BULB ON.

SO, FOR THOSE IN THE FUTURE.
