I recently purchased 1997 yukon with144000 miles. When you reach a steady cruising speed the engine seems to miss about every 10 to 15 seconds. If you accelerate or let off the gas it seems to stop. Previous owner replaced fuel injectors, egr valve, fuel pump, fuel filter, rotor button and distributer cap. It doesn't miss bad enough to record check engine code.

Try checking the fuel pressure/throttle position sensor and MAP sensors. Could also be a compression or injector problem.

Did you replaced the wires/sparkplugs?
