Engine Mechanical problem
1998 GMC Truck 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 220K miles
I went thru some deep water today (just over the bumper). The truck went thru it fine but once I was on the other side it started running rough and eventually died. I disconnected the breather and there wasn't any water to be found, I dried off all plug wires at cap and coil. Removed distributor cap and no water there also. the engine was turning over just fine and it tried to start a couple of times and then it backfired thru the carburetor, now when i try to start it it sounds like the battery is low or the engine has jumped timing, making the rump, rump, rump sounds....
