My 99 GMC 4x4 Suburban has developed a very loud clunk that seems to come from the right front wheel area. It happens when you turn the wheel either full left or right and then bring the wheel back to center.
It also will happen when I accelerate away from a dead stop, but not all the time. I have the vehicle in a shop now that has done all the maintenance work on this vehicle and I trust their competance. All the front suspension and steering components check out o.K. We thought it was bad bearings and they were replaced but it did not solve the problem. Any ideas?

Check the intermediate shaft, this is one of the most common problems on most GM vehicles. Have the shop check this. I've replaced tons of these and on the same vehicle several times because the quality of the I-shafts are so poor, this is not uncommon. Post back with what you find or if this helps.
