After 4 fuel pumps, fuel pressure regulator and 3 tows the car sometimes cranks but won't start. Sometimes their is a clicking in the steering column while driving. Could their be a short in the column causing a no start? I have a remfg. engine I have 25,000 miles on this one. Any ideas?

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the plugs. If you think it is a fuel issue, use a gage and check fuel pressure. If spider fuel system, pressure is 60--66 psi, key on engine off. Sometimes the fuel poppets need cleaning. The spider system is known for problems. Any trouble codes? Thanks for the donate.
