1997 GMC Sonoma Slow coolant leak -- Head Gasket?

My truck has been doing this for over a year. Somedays it seams to idle high with my check engine light on but after I drive it a while it will go off. Its like when the exhaust clears out it is fine. It happens a lot more when it is hot out and not so much when it colder out and it does leak a little coolant but I dont know where from. What could this be?

Have a pro pressure check the cooling system to see if he can see anything. It could be an internal leak however. Also have him run a scan on the engine to see what code is being specifically set.
