2004 GMC Sierra Hybrid GMC Hybrid Power Steering
Steering problem
2004 GMC Sierra Hybrid V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 110000 miles
The Power Steering/Brakes Hydraulic pump is not operating. I have fluid, the pump is not operating and I have 37-40 volts at the plug.
Is ther a control circuit that can be troubleshot or can the pump be checked before I spend 500 bux for a new pump

Hello gdudman
If you have 37-40 volt at the motor and the pump is not working, check for continuity between the motor and the pump.
if there is continuity, replace the pump.
if there is no continuity, search for an open between the two.
The hydraulic pressure is provided by the pump driven by the electric motor.

I replaced the pump and still no-go. Is there a control circuit or module that controls this
