The air flow accuator that allows air to discharge from the vent rather than the foot area wont engage. I use to cycle through the Denali selector display and it would engage. Now it doesn't do it. I disconnected the battery terminals and grounded them together. The accuator started working but only for a day or so.

I have done the grounding action several times but it's a little inconvienent. Can you help me with the location of this particular accuator and how to go about fixing or replacing it?

If that is the device that changes air flow from Vent to Floor.

Is this picture representative from the front or rear view perspective? Any idea what the level of difficulty is to reach these actuators?

I appreciate you mentioning that it could be either right or left side, but I'd really appreciate a little more info since I have to go in to get it.

Yes it does change from the vent to floor to defrost, yes the picture shows its the front, the left side looking at the picture that is the front of the vehicle. These one isnt to bad to reach, just pull down the left side bezel under the steering coloumn and it should be attached to the side of the box, 2 screws hold it in, I would run the vehicle and move throught each mode and see if the acuator is moving or stuck.

You may be my newest best friend. The vehicle is in Tampa and I'm in Miami for the week so give me a while to get to this issue next weekend. But either way thanks!
