I have a 99 sierra with a new engine it has about 17,000 miles on it I swaped the engine myself due to a blown head gasket, before the new engine my truck would turn over than start after like 10 seconds so I changed the fuel pump solved the problem for about a month than it did the same thing when I got the new engine it stoped having the problem than 2 months later it started turning over for a while than start. What is causing this?

I use a gage and check fuel pressure. If fuel pressure is an issue, cycling the key on and off a few times, before cranking, may help. Also, the fuel poppets may need cleaning?

If they need cleaning, the best cleaning procedure is a shop procedure. Injector cleaner in the gas tank, may not help anything?
