Three weeks ago, I was taking my wife to her Dr. appt. The A/C worked fine. Begining of this week, I turned it on, and got nothing but HOT AIR, no matter where I turned the temp control knob, or where the air was blowing in the cab(dash, defrost, or legs). I have no idea what could cause this. I don't have extensive mechanical knowledge. What can I do, where can I go, or how do I find the problem?

most common problem is a leak in the ac system causing ac compressor to turn on. you can try jumping the low pressure cut out switch(temporarily), its located on the receiver dryer. if the ac compressor comes on then you are low on freon.

Thanks, I'm getting the system Evac'ed, and recharged. The mechanic is also adding oil, and dye. He says that if a leak is present, we'll be able to see it with that addition.
