Do 5.7L GMC vans have an oil pressure kill switch, activated by loss of oil pressure?
Thanks for any replies.

Try this simple test, locate the fuel pump relay in the under hood fuse relay center, with engine running, pull the fuel pump relay, if the engine stops running the oil pressure switch is faulty, if it continues to run, it's OK. Any codes stored? SES light on? Retrive codes and freeze frame data, post here. The switch is on the top rear of the engine, and has a three wire connector.

Will a faulty oil pressure switch also make it not start?
