5.7 liter engine won't start. It usually acts up after it rains. It's been hard to start after a rain for a couple of years. I replaced cap and rotor and fuel filter. I have spark at the plugs. I doesn't seem to be getting fuel. I pulled a plug and it was bone dry. It's been dry for a few days now and it still won't start.

Do you have a check engine light On or flashing prior to this problem?

If the engine's condition is in tip top shape-do below to determine if its fuel or spark problem that's if its cranking over and refuses to start

Get a carb cleaner and spray into the carb or the throttle body on an EFI. Did it start and die? If not disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors-

If both fuel and spark is present-check the valve and ignition timing, this will lead you to problems with compression and valves opening and closing at the wrong time

I sprayed carb cleaner into air intake and it started for a few seconds. The fuel pump seems to be working. I hear it power up. I checked fuses and relays and all seem fine. This has been an occasional problem for the last year or so. Initially, the hard starting problem would only occur after it rained. When it dried out it would run fine. Two weeks ago it wouldn't start after a rain and hasn't started since. The check engine light is/was not on and does not flash.

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge designed for your fuel system and give us the readings/findings. Also check all connections involving the ignition system and PCM ground
