My van wouldn't start this morning. It has ran fine with no problems. I can hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds and then it shuts off. If the pump bad?

As far as the initial prime, the pump will shut off after a few seconds if the engine isn't cranking. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Any applicable mil codes? Did you visually check for spark at the plugs, engine cranking? Use a noid lite and check for injector pulse.
