When I start my van and its cold its starts right up. Then after 5 to 10 minutes the engine revs up slightly then shuts down and will not restart until its cooled down.I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump relay and have used dry gas. The same problem continues. Could it be the fuel pump? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum, thanks for the donation. If it refuses to start right away, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs, if that checks out, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Also, check for codes,You use a jumper wire between the A & B terminals at the datalink connector. The connector in the picture is generic. Your looking for two digit codes.

I did the test you mentioned and I have spark. The trouble code flashed code 54. Haynes book says" low fuel pump voltage. Set when the fuel pump voltage is less then 2 volts when reference pulses are being recieved." What would be my next step in locating the main problem?
Thanks
Mike

I'm not positive about your engine size. I found this service bulletin. I can't be sure it will fix your problem. I'd have to check the actual voltage reading at the fuel pump connector and relay.
